DRUID'S ALTAR-BEAR ISLAND 1
The so called Druid’s altar near Rerrin village at the south-east corner of Bear Island
is in fact the wedge tomb of Ardaragh West. Gorse’s 1st painting shows the tomb from
the south-east, looking inland towards one of the island’s Martello Towers.
