| This great portal tomb is situated on a gradual south facing slope of Ticloy Hill, with extensive views across the Braid River Valley to SW. The remains of the tomb consist of the north portal, 2 side-stones, one on the north and one on the south side, plus a slightly gabled back-stone. The single chamber is roofed by 2 large capstones, of which the west stone appears partly displaced. A displaced slab 1.6m in length on the south side of the entrance appears to be the south portal. The chamber entrance faces east and is 1.4m in length and 1.2m in width at east, narrowing to 0.9m at west. The upright portal is at least 1.7m in height, while the side-stones are 1.1m and 1.7m high and the back-stone 1.5m high. The interior of the chamber is filled with lose stones and there is no visible trace of a cairn. |
