This quiet ruined portal tomb is located 20m north of a small stream, a tributary of the
River Barrow and is marked on both the OSI and historic maps as ‘Cloghabrona‘, or
Druid’s Altar. Its large capstone, which measures 3.9m in length, 2.6m in width and
1.15m in depth, rests on a collapsed chamber to the north of a sub circular mound 8m
in diameter. Only one of the two portal stones remains standing while the other lies
fallen inside the chamber. The tomb faces upslope of a very gentle incline, while the
back of the tomb lies facing the stream.
