|This cross inscribed grave slab dates from around the 8th century and is located beside
the north wall of the ruins of Templeboy church. It measures 1.8m in length, 0.50m at
its widest, tapering to 0.30m and is 0.20m in depth. There is a plain cross at the widest
end and at the other end, a Maltese cross, with v-shaped ends. Its shape and profile is
very similar to the 'De Profundis Stone' in County Westmeath.
