|BREENY MORE STONE CIRCLE & BOULDER BURIALS

|This multi-stone circle with four boulder burials is located in pasture, on a platform on
a NW-facing slope on the south side of the Owvane river valley. The circle is
represented by two entrance stones and an axial stone, measuring 2m to 1m in height,
1.6m to 1.1m in width and 0.6m to 0.4m in depth. The two prostrate slabs on the
perimeter may be displaced orthostats. The internal measurement along the main axis,
which is aligned NE-SW, is 14m. Within circle are a group of four Boulder Burials.
Three support stones are visible beneath the cover-stone of the north boulder burial
which measures 1.5m in length, 1.35m in width and 0.5m in depth. There are two
support stones visible beneath the cover-stone of the south boulder burial which
measures 1.7m in length, 1.2m in width and 0.9m in depth. There are no support stones
visible beneath the east boulder burial measuring 1.3m in length, 0.8m in width and
0.7m in depth nor the west boulder burial.
