COOLINEAGH OGHAM STONE
( SAINT OLAN'S CAP )
COOLINEAGH OGHAM STONE, COUNTY CORK
A great ogham stone located in the old grave-yard at Glebe county Cork. Known
locally as Saint Olan's Cap due to the more recent addition of small stone and square
cap it has long been associated with St.Olan. It measures 1.57m in height, 0.29m in
width and 0.17m in depth and is a pillar shape. The inscription reads as "Anm Corre
Maqvi Udd Glomett". There is one rough cross inscribed on the ogham sides and two
plain crosses on the other opposite side.
St.Olan's Stone is just 10m to the north.
