DERRYNAFINCHIN STONE CIRCLE, COUNTY CORK
This multi-stone circle is located on a west facing slope near the north end of the
narrow valley of the Coomhola river. The circle is incomplete and contains a
considerable amount of fill. It may originally have consisted of eleven, or perhaps,
thirteen stones. Nine stones survive, five of which are prostrate and the  circle is about
8m in diameter. The orthostats are 0.9m in height,1.3m to 0.8m in width and 0.5m to
0.2m in depth. There is a boulder burial centrally placed within circle and a bullaun on
one of the fallen stones near the roadside.
