A really great example of a wedge tomb and very close to a junction of a side road and a
major road. The tomb is about 4m in length, with two capstones, the smaller one in the
middle resting on the larger one at the rear which extends beyond the back of the tomb,
much like the wedge tomb at
Keamcorravooly. There are two erect stones at the
entrance, with a door slab lying between them. The side walling is made up of five
stones on the south-east side and four on the north-west side all decreasing in height
towards the rear of the tomb. There is a lot of small stones and earth scattered inside
the tomb and thorn bushes to the front and rear, and so measuring the chamber
accurately was impossible. Access is easy from the road via a field gate.
