| This portal tomb is located on the south slopes of a rocky out-crop, west of the town of Clifden (An Clochan) overlooking Streamstown Bay. The tomb, orientated NNW - SSE consists of a chamber, 3.5 in length & 1.7m in width, two erect portal stones 1.9m & 1.5m in height 1.3m apart, three side stones at the west and two side-stones on the east side and a small back stone. There is no visible sign of a capstone. The whole tomb is sited on a level platform or mound 7m in diameter and is accessible from a small cottage 30m south. |
