| This small, hidden wedge tomb is located south of the Dooyertha River, 'An Dughiortach', on the west side of the R349 from Loughrea to Athenry. The tomb, orientated NE - SW, consists of a chamber covered by a roof-stone measuring 1.8m in length, 1.1m in width and 0.40m in depth which is supported by two side-stones on the north side and one side-stone on the south side. The entire structure is sited at the centre of a grass covered mound 6m in diameter. |
