| This megalithic tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Mound' and on the Historic map as 'Druid's Altar', is located on the south slope of low-land scrub. The tomb, orientated NW - SE, consists of a large circular, boulder roof-stone, measuring 2.5m in length, 1.8m in width and 0.80m in depth which is supported on the NE side by two thin slabs and on the SW side by a triangular shaped boulder. There is evidence of a cairn most notably at the SE and NE sides and the NW of the tomb is incorporated into a field boundary wall. |
