| This pair of standing stones are located on the NE slopes of Croaghmarhin over looking Smerwick Harbour. They are incorporated into a field wall 4.15m apart in a NE - SW line. The NE stone is 2.77m in height,1.2m in width and 0.40m in depth. The SW stone is a little taller measuring 3m in height,1.3m in width and is 0.50m deep. The stones are known locally as ' Greata an Ghlas Ghaibhnigh' from the association with the miraculous cow of that name as are the stone pair at Drom East. |
