| This ogham stone is the only one to remain in its location from the 7 that were discovered here in 1848 after a storm uncovered an ancient burial ground over looking Smerwick bay in Kilvickillane. It has been re-erected on the knoll south of the bay and measures 1.76m in height,0.63m in width and 0.18m in depth. It is made of grit and reads " CUNAMAQQI CORBBI MAQQI MUCCOI DOVVINIAS ". 4 of the other ogham stones can be found in Burnham East while the other two are in Chute Hall Tralee. |
