| This ogham stone lies loose on the surface of the stone fort of Ballywiheen close to the souterrain where it was found acting as a lintel. The stone was smashed in the 1880's and the smallest fragment was lost and the two fragments seen today measure 1.81 in length, 0.57m in width and 0.23m in depth. The inscription is nearly complete and reads " TOGITTACC MAQI SAGARET ( TOS ) ". The last three letters of the inscription were lost along with the small fragment. |
