This small megalithic tomb is located east of the town of Knocktopher (Cnoc an
Tochair ) and 1 km east of the Little Arrigle River  (An Airgeala Beg) and only 200m
from a railway line, in level pasture land. The tomb consists of a large roof stone
measuring 2.5m in length, 1.8m in width and 0.45m in depth, supported by three slabs
that maybe side stones. A cairn or mound is piled up around the tomb and the interior
of the tomb is 0.5m below the exterior ground level. It does not seem to have any clear
orientation and is very similar to the Linkardstown passage tomb in Dublin City.
Historical maps show a portal tomb was once located 200m north of this tomb but
there are no visible remains today.
