| Situated west of Ballyhale (Baile Heil), this portal tomb is the most northerly of the remaining portal tombs in County Kilkenny and is located near the head waters of the Little Arrigle River which joins the River Nore at Jerpoint Abbey. The capstone is missing and all that remains are the two slab-like portal stones and the door-stone, similar to the portal tomb at Taylorsgrange, County Dublin. Both the portal stones measure 2.3m in height, the door-stone is 1.4m in height and the tomb is orientated south-east to north-west, positioned on a low oval mound, 10m in diameter. |
