| Located in dense woodland, this collapsed portal tomb is sited on a small mound in a dense wooded copse on the western slopes of Corbally Hill, 100m west of a head water of the Pil River which joins the River Suir to the south at Piltown and is orientated south-east. The massive rectangular capstone, which measures 5m in length, 2.2m in width and 0.80m in depth, has slipped off the portal stones and lies on top of the north side-stones. It is partially elevated on the back-stone and one remaining south side-stone, 1.6m in height, with the portal stones lying in front of the entrance. The tomb is sited south of a sub-circular cairn that has retained some of its larger kerb stones. |
