| Clopook Hill-Fort or Dun of Clopoke, which translates as 'the fort of the goblin's stone',is a massive CLASS II Hill-Fort and is located south of Stradbally county Laois. It is conical in shape and at it's base is a stone wall. It's base was defended by a double entrenchment and from the base to the top is 150 ft. The diameter at the summit is about 312 ft and down from the fort is whats believed to be a ceremonial pond. |
