| SKIRK STANDING STONE |
| Located on top of high ground with good views of undulating countryside, this standing stone is sited in the center of a henge that was converted into a motte and bailey. It is a limestone, rectangular shaped stone 2.4m in height, 1.1m in width and 0.5m in depth with its long axis orientated NE-SW. Traces of burials and urns were found beside the standing stone in the Bailey or Henge interior. |
