| This,along with two other similar stones,is all that remains of this tomb. They are scattered over a field just behind a farm house,close to a new forestry plantation. The farmer assured me that this is it and not the structure across the river which has been mistaken for it. He has planted young saplings all around and was told by Coillte not to plant within 50m of the tomb. This he has duly observed and as such is now starting to be over-grown with grasses. The structure across the river,although impressive,is in a strange position,being set sideways into the hill side. |
