| This fine Stone Pair, marked on the Os and Historic maps as 'Standing Stone', is located NW of the village of Killadoon, 'Coill an Duin', SW of Lough Rooah, 'Loch Ru an Atha' and just 100m from the sea to the NW. The pair, orientated E - W, are an odd pairing, with the very tall, slender west stone measuring 3.3m in height, 1.5m in width and 0.40m in depth and the much smaller, triangular shaped east stone measuring 1.3m in height, 0.85m in width and 0.45m in depth. Access is from a beach road that runs 10m to the north. |
