

| CORRASLUASTIA WEDGE TOMB |

| This large wedge tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Cromlech', is located on a south facing slope in otherwise boggy land. The tomb, orientated NE - SW, is sited on a low mound 10m in diameter & 1m in height and consists of a gallery 7m in length, which is divided into three chambers. There are five side-stones on the NW side and three on the SE side and the remaining roof-stone, measuring 2.3m in length, 1m in width & 0.25m in depth, has slipped onto the fallen side-stones to the SE. Out-walling remains at the west,north and east but is best at the NW side. To the front of the tomb are 2 erect orthostats at the SW which maybe the remains of a fascade. There is a fallen standing stone 100m east, north of the track. |
