This fine example of a Wedge Tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Giant's Grave', is
located on rocky reclaimed pasture below the steep south slopes of the Ox Mountains
and with commanding views to the south. The  well preserved gallery, facing WNW, is
divided by two jamb-like stones inset in the gallery walls and a septal-stone, now in a
displaced position just east of them, into a portico measuring 1.4m in length and 1.3m
in width and a single stone forms each side of the portico. The main chamber is 6m in
length, 2.15m in width max; with eight stones on the north side and seven on the south
side. The east end of the structure is covered by three overlapping roof-stones, which
are resting on the gallery sides and a large stone is placed between either end of the
roof-stone and the top of the south side of the gallery. The outer-walling survives
beyond both the sides and back of the gallery and a single facade-stone links the outer
wall at the north to the front of the portico and another at the south  is now prostrate.
There is considerable cairn material between the outer-walling and the gallery but no
trace of a mound outside the structure.
