| This much ruined Court Tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Dermot & Grania's Bed', is located on a poorly drained low-lying patch of ground. The tomb, trapezoidal in plan, consists of the inner end of a SSE-facing gallery, 4m in length and 2.6m in width and is divided by segmenting jambs inset in the gallery walls, into a well-preserved rear chamber 2m in length. The outer chamber is now represented by two opposed side-stones and an upright stone between these two side-stones and crossing the gallery and 3m east are three kerb-stones and 2m west is another. There are a number of displaced stones at the site including a group of four just south of the gallery and there is some cairn fill in the gallery and between it and the kerb-stones. There is an unclassified megalithic tomb 50m ENE. |
