| This Portal Tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Giant's Grave', is located on top of a small hill, 50m west of the River Buncrowey, a tributary of the Easky River, 'An Iaseaigh', on the NW lower slopes of the Ox Mountains. The large capstone, which measures 4.5m in length, 2.1m in width and 1m in depth, has slipped forward, tilting the portal stones and circular door-stone outwards. The chamber, rectangular in shape, is aligned east - west and is 2.5m in length, 1.5m in width and 0.9m in height. Cairn material is evident around the base of the chamber and extends over 5m at the back of the tomb. |
