| This much ruined Portal Tomb, marked on the OS map as 'Giant's Grave', is located on a low ridge in rolling pasture, just south of Kilross National School. The south side of a chamber is intact and it consists of a portal-stone 1.7m in height at the east and an overlapping side-stone, 1.3m in height, 3m in length and 0.3m in depth. Just north of the side-stone is a prostrate slab, the opposite side-stone, and adjoining the east end of this, is another displaced slab, possibly a fallen sill stone. About 1.5m east of the last stone, is a prostrate slab of uncertain function. |
