| This fine Stone Pair, marked on the OS map as 'Gallaun', are located on a gentle north facing slope on the eastern fringes of the Knockmealdown Mountains. The pair, with a NE - SW alignment, are 1.1m apart and composed of local sandstone. The SW stone, the larger of the two, is rectangular in shape and measures 1.8m in height, 0.70m in width and 0.50m in depth. The NE stone, is cone shaped and measures 1m in height, 1.1m in width and 0.60m in depth. Access is from a field gate 40m west. |
