| This is a sight that i don't come across very often in the Mid-lands,a bullaun with a small stone placed inside. It seems to be more of a tradition in the west, west Galway, west Mayo and west Kerry but not here in Tipperary. This bullaun is set beside a beautifully carved early Christian cross with a font the other side. The stone seems to be broken but not recently allowing any water to over-flow from the bullaun with measures 0.35m in diameter and is rather deep. |
