FOILYCLEARY WEDGE TOMB
FOILYCLEARY WEDGE TOMB, COUNTY TIPPERARY
Although not many stones remain of this wedge tomb, its out-line can be seen quiet
clearly and much of the earth from the covering cairn still surrounds the site.A single
orthostat remains upright, another has fallen inwards, while a possible capstone lies in
the thorn bush. The gallery would have been about 5m in length and it was about 2m
wide. It has the classical NE-SW alignment for a wedge tomb.
