This bulky portal tomb is located on the crest of a low, rounded hillock. The tomb
consists of a collapsed single chambered tomb which was originally constructed from
an end-stone and 3 large orthostats on which rested a large capstone. The orthostats
formed a tripod open to the east, with the back stone closing off the chamber to the
west. In the collapse, the capstone shifted to NE, pulling the 2 tallest uprights with it.
The smaller upright, to SE, was pushed out from under the capstone and fell to the
south, while the end-stone fell back to the west. The tomb is known locally as 'The
Rocking Stone'.
