This was my second time to try and see this tomb. It took a lot of battling through thorn bushes and brambles to eventually find it. Then it was a case of clearing off decades of wild growth to revel at last this complete tomb. The capstone, which has slipped,is an odd spear shape measuring a massive 3m long by 2m in width and .40m thick. The one erect portal stone is over 2m high and 1.1m wide, the other, with quartz veins running through it, is about the same and is under the capstone. All the side stones and the door slab are still here. Well worth a visit but not for the faint-hearted. |
