

| BALLOUGHTON OGAHM STONE |
| This granite stone with veins of quartz, is rectangular in cross-section and measures 2.9m in height, 1.37m in width and 1.07m in depth tapering upwards. It is oriented NNE-SSW. The ogham inscriptions on the two angles of the western face have been completely hammered away. On the southern face are four small cup-marks arranged as though at the angles of an irregular quadrilateral figure and in the middle of the eastern face three similar cup marks forming an inverted triangle. |
